About the Program

Learn the skills and techniques to become an award-winning facilitator FROM an award-winning facilitator!

This four-week course, will provide you with the tools and techniques to lead any training session or presentation.

Course is hosted by Award-Winning Facilitator and ATD Greater Atlanta Chapter Leaders, LaKisha C. Brooks and Cornelius Dowdell.

About the Presenters

LaKisha C. Brooks, M.Sc., M.Ed, is the Chief Learning Officer at Brooks Enterprise and Consultants and served as President-Elect for the Greater Atlanta Chapter of ATD from 2019-2020. LaKisha also served on the 2020 Mentoring and Coaching Advisory Board for HR.com and is a leading expert on creating and implementing internal/external people development programs. Her specialty is mentoring, leadership development, high potential, and coaching programs.

An internationally recognized leadership expert, LaKisha, has been featured on ABC, FOX, CW, and NBC affiliates across the country, as well as, The Denver Post and The Miami Herald. She was also recognized by Atlanta Business Chronicle as a “Person on the Move.” LaKisha is also the 2018 Trainer Showdown winner for the ATD Central FL Chapter. She has over 12 years of sales and management consulting experience and 18 years of public speaking experience. She has worked with companies such as Rheem Manufacturing, Flexport, Walker’s Legacy, and the Sandy Springs Chamber of Commerce, just to name a few. She has also traveled the country training global clients in the areas of leadership, management, and sales as a consultant for Krauthammer USA.

LaKisha is also a DISC Certified Trainer and a trailblazer in organizational leadership and development authoring two books, Leadership’s Got Everything to Do With It: Women’s Guide to the Sustainable Leader and Organization and Learn, Lead and Leave a Legacy: Advancing Women to the Top!

Cornelius “Neil” Dowdell is a sought after global high potential leadership development, career progression, and leadership branding consultant. He has more than 15 years’ experience in leadership and management leading operational and program management teams, human resources, corporate learning and career planning. Cornelius is renowned for his ability to develop potential leaders, streamline operational processes and create value within organizations. He believes that we all have inspired strengths and gifts that we should maximize in our life’s work.

Immediately before following his passion t share his consulting gifts on a more global scale, Cornelius held influential roles at CGI Federal, Louisiana State University and Emory University partnering with corporate learning officers and human resource teams to develop High Potential Leadership Development Programs, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system integration and Corporate Branding standards.

Cornelius also manages corporate learning for higher educational institutions and collaborates with Fortune 100 company for 10 years. He and his staff provide a full range of services and offerings for 10,000+ employee organizations including needs assessments, curriculum design, conducting training programs, program assessment, and organizational development. He also provides coaching services for all levels of management. His priority is to align all programs with the corporation’s business goals and strategies.

Cornelius has conducted hundreds of employee learning programs in such areas as improving interpersonal effectiveness, time management, leadership development for managers and high potential employees, effective oral and written presentations, delegating, career planning, train-the-trainer, motivation and dealing with difficult people. Cornelius earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Louisiana State University and an MBA from Capella University. He is certified in in Leadership and Management Development, Lean Six Sigma, Professional Coaching, Career Coaching and several leadership assessment tools such as DiSC and Emotional Intelligence. Cornelius is involved in numerous professional and non-profit organizations, serving in the Association of Talent Development (ATD), Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), Project Management Institute (PMI), Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity and March of Dimes.
